How to use it
- On first use, set an application password of at least eight characters, or choose password-free use.
- Manage password protection in Settings. Removing existing protection requires password verification.
- Use Lock in the sidebar. When password protection is enabled, reopening from the tray prompts for authentication.
- Connection credentials and local state use Windows account-bound DPAPI protection. Sign in to Google on its own page, not by entering a Google password in the app.
- Protect your Windows account, backup copies and ZIP passwords separately. Reconnect expired accounts in Accounts and connections.
Good to knowThe app lock is not an independent encrypted vault against an attacker controlling the Windows account or computer. Normal backups are not automatically password-encrypted.
