Multiple source folders

Add folders and understand overlapping sources and source removal.

How to use it

  1. Choose the main source on General. Use Add folder on Additional sources to include more folders.
  2. Check subfolder coverage. In normal backups, an already covered subfolder is not scanned twice; earlier sources take precedence.
  3. Additional sources use separate destination subfolders containing a source identifier, so identical folder names do not collide.
  4. Remove a folder from the source list when you no longer want to process it. This does not delete the PC folder or its existing destination copy.
  5. Check the saved scope in Files on the next backup. Source size is measured during backup rather than with a separate scan.
Good to knowRemoving a source from the list is different from deleting files inside it. Enabled deletion rules can apply to files deleted from sources that remain selected.
